Junior Graphic Designer
Location: South Nutfield
Purpose of the Junior Graphic Designer:
The Junior Graphic Designer will work alongside their Graphic Designer in a busy and varied environment, providing high quality support for the production of artwork and packaging across a range of media. Working within their brand guidelines, you will provide creative solutions for the packaging requirements for client products, together with the company’s internal and external marketing collateral.
Key Accountabilities of the Junior Graphic Designer:
Manage art work briefs to ensure they are completed in line with project requirements.
Conceptualise and create innovative artwork - visuals, mock-ups, digital and printed designs - including print ready artwork - for packaging, marketing collateral and internal documents by hand and using creative software.
Produce physical packaging mock ups using the company’s large format digital printing equipment (Roland printer and cutting machine) and create visual mocks ups.
Deal with enquiries from various teams across the business and provide updates on the progress of the artwork for client products.
Support the design and production of external marketing / event collateral and promotional material such as leaflets, brochures, posters and exhibition stand graphics.
Pioneer and manage the Monty’s Bakehouse brand and in-house style, in a strong and consistent way. Maintain and promote the brand internally and externally.
Undertake creative / design work for any internal marketing and employee on-line and off-line literature and documents.
Collaborate with external contacts such as third-party designers, consultancies and packaging companies.
Provide assistance on any aspect of design for projects under the remit of the Graphic Designer.
Manage all aspects of the artwork filing system (electronic and paper) for completed work.
Requirements of theJunior Graphic Designer:
Graphic / Packaging Design degree or similar.
Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; and MS Office abilities – PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
Good creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas.
Strong communication abilities, with the ability to articulate ideas and requirements to colleagues, clients and external contacts.
The capability to prioritise and work across multiple projects, working flexibly and independently.
Excellent organisational skills, with a high attention to detail.
Experience working with packaging for food or FMCG brands preferred, not essential
