Office Manager

Location: Easingwold, North Yorkshire

Salary: £20k - £22k DoE Part Time Pro Rata also available 

Hours: 35 hours, will consider part time

CPPS offers Care and Case Management Expert Assessment and Reports and Occupational Therapy Services.  We provide specialist services to individuals who have been affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, complex orthopedic injuries and amputation.  We work directly with individuals and with referring solicitors.  We provide a Statutory Expert Service, advising customers in respect of statutory entitlement.

Responsibilities of the Office Manager:

  • General management of the office, including telephone reception
  • Typing, proof reading and filing services
  • Supporting the Bookkeeper and Accountant by keeping orderly financial receipts
  • Preparation of invoices
  • Preparation of costs for assessment reports in conjunction with the Directors
  • Date and diary setting
  • Conference Organiser
  • To promote a consistent positive image of the organisation and behave in a professional manner at all times.
  • To be accountable for your practice and take responsibility for maintaining and improving knowledge and skills.
  • To protect and respect the rights of the Service User(s).
  • To ensure detailed knowledge of and compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures, including Adult Protection Procedures.
  • To maintain a high level of confidentiality in relation to the Service User(s) and matters relating to the Organisation.

Requirements of the Office Manager:


  • Working within an office environment
  • Reception Duties
  • Computer literate and has a good knowledge of MS Office
  • Providing secretarial/personal assistant support including proof reading, filing and diary management
  • Working within timescales and being able to priorities work
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English and Mathematics at Grade C or above.
  • Able to communicate in an effective and appropriate manner (written and verbal)
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent Administration skills.
  • Excellent Organizational skills.
  • Ability to work using own initiative within boundaries
  • Ability to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Able to follow through on tasks and self-direct as required


  • Preparation of Reports and Costs
  • Preparation of Invoices
  • NVQ typing, IT or equivalent
  • Sensitive to and awareness of individual needs.
  • Able to handle difficult situations with minimum supervision.
