Warehouse Operative

Location: Castlecary, Cumbernauld

Salary: £9.00 per hour

Hours of Work: 39 hour week M-T – 0730 - 1600, F– 0730 - 1430)

About the Company:

Our client is an industry leading building envelope contractor specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of PVCu and aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling systems.

They are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative for a full time, permanent position.

Based from their manufacturing site in Castlecary, Cumbernauld, the successful candidate will work from their yard to ensure efficient, safe and accurate handling of all products and delivery of high-quality service, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy at all times.

Warehouse Operative Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Inventory from suppliers, checking quantities against delivery notes.
  • Locating stock for production to ensure materials are on time for production.
  • Moving finished products into designated areas of the warehouse, following safe lifting and moving practices to ensure damage to products and individuals is avoided;
  • Ensuring windows are scanned into correct racks using slot allocation;
  • Preparing products for delivery, ensuring products are protected with the appropriate packaging;
  • Ensuring all drivers know what is included in their loads and where to locate it;
  • Inspecting all loads before vehicles are despatched, following the delivery checklist and signing the delivery notes confirming if all materials are present;
  • Ensuring all documentation is complete and to the required standards;

Warehouse Operative Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a warehousing role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Confidence to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Forklift operator’s certificate
  • Driving Licence
